Listing Your Business Online

Listing Your Business for Free Using These Simple Steps

One of the key components of running a successful business in today’s age is visibility. With your extensive training as a natural medicine practitioner, you’ve already got the ability, but sadly that’s not enough. People need to see you and get to know you. Even the best practitioner has to find a way to be seen, to be noticed, so they can start to fill their practice. Finding your unique point and the marketing medium that’s right for you and your audience is vital.

So, back to it: ability is the delivery of high-quality products or services to customers and visibility refers to a company’s presence. With today’s day and age, online presence is an essential one. People are searching on Google and looking on Google Maps, and you want to be there.

Though the two factors of ability and visibility relate to the performance and success of a company, now more than ever, prompts a greater emphasis on the necessity of visibility.

It’s time to put the concept of visibility into action!

Below is a list containing a handful of the most widely-used online directories where you can list your business. Did we mention they’re free?

Listing your business! “Listings” are like your digital store-front. Google My Business

How many times have we turned to Google for answers? The same mindset applies; your customers or patients are Googling information about you, your business information, and what you have to offer.

Google My Business sits at the top of our list based upon it’s widely-used and accessible platform which attracts users by the masses. Additionally, GMB provides a number of benefits including:

  • Google Map searches (when someone searches your business, Google provides them your information and location on a map showing proximity)
  • Using GMBocal, you increase the odds of having your business information pop-up to users before the organic list (which means even higher click rates to your website)
  • GMB allows customers to review your business and leave feedback — this is another great way to build your online presence as well as to build trust amongst your audience

Coming in at our number two spot, a great deal of research has shown that Bing is the second most popular search engine, right behind Google. As Bing is owned and operated by Microsoft, this platform is often the default on Windows devices.

An easy way to get in front of your clients, especially the Microsoft users! Additionally, in the link below, you will see that the set up is extremely simple, particularly if you have already claimed your business on Google as you can then transfer that information over to Bing with a click.

Yelp For Business

Some consider Yelp to be the digital-age word-of-mouth system. How many times have we looked up a review of a new restaurant before actually trying? Maybe the reviews lead you astray?

A great reason why it’s important to get in front of those reviews and to engage with the members of the community who are leaving them. Additionally, if your business page has not been claimed, it might steer potential customers and reviewers away from giving your services a whirl.

This platform is a great communication piece for your company. When you get set up, don’t forget to include a few photos as users want to get a look and feel into the business as a whole.

One of the benefits to utilizing Facebook for your business is the fact that you are able to get  deep insight to your engagers. These might be current customers, potential clients, and/or those who consider you to be an expert in the field who wish to learn a thing or two from you.

Think of Facebook as an ongoing focus group; users will comment, share, and express feedback. You can collect important details through the participation of your Facebook community.
