Parkinson’s Disease: Risk Factors and Neuroprotective Supplements

Description

Parkinson’s disease shares co-morbidities with other neurodegenerative conditions.  There is a strong correlation with environmental influences and risk of developing PD.  Also mental health history puts a person at both a risk of developing PD and also can help with diagnosis.  There are many “non-classical” presentations of PD that as clinicians we must know about, that can help with an early diagnosis.  The peer-review literature abounds with therapeutic considerations that support healthy neurons, mitochondria and often are already on the shelves of our office medicinary.

Learning Objectives

  • Acquire knowledge of risk factors for PD development
  • Review must-do tests and nutraceuticals that are researched to help with PD
  • Learn how to help patients at risk identify PD symptoms, treatments and acquire knowledge of novel multi—faceted protective clinical interventions
