Naturopathic Considerations & Management of EBV

Naturopathic Considerations & Management of EBV

What You'll Learn

  • Conventional and naturopathic treatment methods for the Epstein-Barr virus
  • Different types of Epstein-Barr virus infections
  • Symptoms of the Epstein-Barr virus
  • Disorders that are co-morbid with the Epstein-Barr virus

The Epstein-Barr virus is one of the nine known strains of human herpes that is commonly diagnosed in children. Though the virus becomes inactive in the host’s body upon infection, it can reactivate. In this course, Kasey Holland will go over the etiology, diagnosis, and standard care of the Epstein-Barr virus, where medicinal treatments are lacking, and how naturopathic medicine provides options and tools for treatment.

Kasey discusses differentiation between infections by defining acute infection, reactivated infection, and chronic reactivated infections of the Epstein-Barr virus. She also explains the various symptoms of each type of infection, and the demographics most affected by each type. In addition, she discusses associations and correlations of the Epstein-Barr with autoimmune conditions and cancers, along with how naturopathic medicine can effectively prevent these conditions.

She compares conventional treatments of the Epstein-Barr virus to naturopathic treatments, and offers potential treatment methods for each type of infection, such as foods, movement, stress reduction techniques, and homeopathic remedies for the virus. If you are looking for an in-depth explanation of treating the Epstein-Barr virus, this is the course for you!
