Evidence-Based Aromatherapy in Pregnancy, Labor, and Postpartum Care

Evidence-Based Aromatherapy in Pregnancy, Labor, and Postpartum Care

What You'll Learn

  • Evidence-based aromatherapy applications in pregnancy
  • The methods of application and essential oils used for specific prenatal-to-postpartum conditions
  • The indications and contraindications for specific prenatal-to-postpartum aromatherapy applications

Description

The course covers prenatal-to-postpartum evidence-based aromatherapy practices, including the essential oils and methods studied clinically by nurses, midwives, and doctors practicing in maternity care and published in peer-reviewed journals.

With the explosion of popularity of aromatherapy, there’s often a lack of education about essential oils’ safety, risks, and benefits for women and babes during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. All three of these stages will be covered by Pam Conrad RN, clinical aromatherapy instructor with 25 years’ experience practicing, developing programs and teaching nurses, midwives, therapists and those recommending oils to women. Studies, conditions, and practice tips are all included.
