This webinar will review the life-altering illness known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease. The symptoms, prevalence, possible causes, and treatments will be reviewed. Patients with CFS often have immune abnormalities and high cytomegalovirus, epstein-barr, and HHV6 viral loads. Several studies suggest antiviral medications hold much promise for improving quality of life in these patients. The safety, efficacy, and pharmacology of antiviral medications used for CFS treatment will be discussed extensively.
